I actually got a good deal on this one as it wasn't selling and it was a lefty.

Sometimes being a lefty player works out better

An oddball superstrat to say the least ....

Heritage VIP2 1986





















A 1986 Heritage VIP 2 with a strat body shape and set neck. Construction is a two piece all maple body with a mahogany neck.

Twin humbuckers, Heritages own HRWs, with dual volume and tone controls, with a three way selector switch and a Kahler flat mount double locking trem.

The extra switches are for humbucker / single coil and variphase for each pickup. The middle mini is a kill switch.

Heritage only made this model for a few years back in the '80s, it is an odd mix of influences and styles to say the least ! Considering it has an all maple body it's not heavy at all. The pickups are hot, and in this model they're very close to the strings, I have them below the top of the pickup rings and they still have lots of power.

Jackson SL2H Soloist in transparent green











Don't know what year this one is, early to mid '00s maybe, got it used and it has been well played.

Pickups are a Duncan JB and 59, and they do sound quite different in this guitar, it has a particular throaty sustain not present in other guitars with the same pickups.

Compound radius ebony board, took a bit of getting used to the string spacing as I kept pushing the high E off the board until I got used to it.

And it was of course painted in lovely green by a team of Leprechauns that live at the bottom of my garden.

A superstrat from the man that invented the strat, a G&L F-100.












This was G&Ls first production model guitar, it's from October '81. Mahogany body with ultra slim maple neck, Dual Fulcrum trem and the G&L PTB tone control system with a coil split and out of phase switch.

It has two MFD humbuckers which have very high output, it will clip the front end of many amps easily which gives some horrible tones so it needs to be run at about half volume. This is the passive version, there was also an active model, I can only imagine how hot that one was.

c'est un truc pour moi ca...
il y a vraiment des belles pelles ici, je retiens notamment la lag finition bois qui est splendide! (juste dommage le micro central) et la jackson verte à tomber.

en super strats j'ai de quoi tenir un moment!

une part-strat revendue il y a un moment, mais que je regrette un peu,
manche droitier (facile à trouver (!) et effet tête reverse que j'adore) , pickguard alu brossé, une paire de dimarzio super distorsion en bridge et je sais plus quoi en neck, accastillage des series strat custom.

Enfin ne reste que le corps d'origine... j'ai un gros tas de pieces en stock à ecouler alors je m'amuse.

J'ai eu un gros coup de foudre avec cette finition, mais je trouvais pas top le mélange avec manche palissandre seul dispo gaucher , j'ai donc remplacé ce dernier par un modèle pro II en érable (comme le modèle dispo en droitier)
A noter que la dernière génération de manche est une absolue réussite en terme de finition et confort. (vernis satiné au top et arrondi des angles de touche très sympa)
Hardware de série deluxe avec méca à blocage, un pickguard custom, une paire de micro bare knuckle aftermath,
selecteur 5 positions.



ET avec le manche palissandre j'ai fait un autre montage! (a suivre...)

Got this in 2009, from a guy in Belgium who was selling it to get an Anderson or Suhr.

It's from around 2000, mahogany body with maple veneer top. Pickups are a DiMarzio D-Sonic and Air Norton.

Finish is twilight blue, unusual for Ibanez at that time as 99% of their lefty guitars were black.

whouuuaaaa this ibanez is absolutely splendid,
the finish is really great!

allez une petite fender très métal 90' (oui oui c'est possible!)
montage corps d'une mex orange, manche us palissandre (celui de la bleu) , micro dimarzio dp220 bridge, seymour jb manche, trémolo wilkinson et méca sperzel à blocage.
bon elle pourrait faire un peu outillage....
c'est un montage provisoire mais c'est au final assez fun.

I originally set up the site over the course of a couple of days, took me a while to figure out how to set it up, then I did it all in one go .. and then forgot how I did it

I only set it up as an alternative to photobucket who went from free hosting to $300 / year, it was cheaper to set up my own site, it wasn't for bragging rights or anything like that, I'm into guitars, and used to be into photography, plus I have worked in IT setting up networks etc. So you'd think I'd remember how to update my own site

Ibanez RG2550Z in galaxy white





I got this one from a guy on RG, it's unusual for an Ibanez because it's white

The finish is covered in small gold sparkles, very hard to capture in a photo.

The photos were taken by the seller, superkoyot ( ? )

The pickups are the weakest part of the guitar, they sound ok, but nothing special, a bit bland maybe, lacking in character. It's stock with the mirror guard.

It's a made in Japan model, and it was the first time I'd come across an actual left handed guitar case, I think only one or two other manufacturers make lefty cases for their guitars, Suhr maybe or Anderson.
