PRS McCarty from 1999 in McCarty burst.

My first PRS, bought used obviously, and also the first one I've played. It is factory stock with a wide fat neck, weighs about 8lbs.

Pickups as far as I know are the McCarty Bass and Treble, a push pull on the tone control splits both pickups.

Mahogany body with maple cap, and a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard with moon inlays.

Yes Heritage are certainly hard to beat. The Blues Junior is the easiest to use for pictures, and it looks cool 8)

I've only had it a couple of weeks. As far as build quality is concerned the Hamer Studios and Carvin CT6 are easily as good. The Hamer Studio Custom feels like a higher quality guitar. The PRS wide fat neck isn't really that fat, it's wide certainly but the Hamers are probably fatter, the Carvin is thinner. Several of my G&Ls have a much fatter neck. The tuners on the McCarty are probably a weak point.

As for the pickups I like them so far, neck is warm and fat and the bridge is a lot brighter, not piercing, and sounds good with overdrive / distortion. They're a medium to low output pickup, definitely not high output. The middle position with both pickups on sounds very good, and that's a sound I never normally use. The single coil sounds are not great, the volume drops a lot and it just sounds like nothing in particular, but that is also the case with most humbuckers when split.

Overall it's a good guitar, as I mentioned it's the only PRS I have played, still getting used to it.

Hello!
Very beautifull guitar!

J'avais jamais vu ce type de chevalet,
çà ressemble au chevalet sur guitare acoustique,
çà porte un nom particulier?

It's a non adjustable wraparound bridge
