Hello people!

I think about buying a pedal in conjunction to my Okko Diablo+ for classic 80`s Rock tones like Ac/Dc and Guns`n Roses.
Main goal is to achieve the Marshall Rock tone with not so much gain like Ac/Dc to more gain like Guns`n Roses.
There are so many options available it is impossible for me to try them out all together.
So i started this poll to find out what french people are thinking which pedal suits best for Rock tone.

80's Rock: OCD or Ecstasy.
Any plexi style pedal will sound like 70's rock a la JMP.

No one of those stomp But only because i don't know one oh them. I found my ACDC sound with the Marshall Shredmaster, and it's also possible with the Marshall Blues Breaker (black original modèl).

Bogner Blue maybe?
the "Dr. Scientist The Element" is also very versatile and could match your needs...

I had one that I bought used for almost nothing and sold for ten times my buying price : this is its sole merit...

I borrowed one and found that it was quite common sounding, plus fizzzz. Way much overpriced IMHO.

Have a test with a ProCo RAT (the standard model, with the LM308N chip) and you may be amazed, for much less than any boutique model.

Well it seems like i have to try an OCD and a Plexitone too.
Last month a MI Audio Crunch Box was sold for 49€ at Ebay ... damn, what a steal.

Just two words regarding my new ZVex Distortron:
IT KILLS!

Its amazing. I like it better then my Okko Diablo Gain+.
Maybe i will sell the Diablo and buy a cheap booster pedal like East River Drive or Boss Blues Driver because i really don`t need the Okko atm.
