G&L USA ASAT III from 1997 in blue burst finish.

These were only made for a couple of years, '96 and '97.

Ash body with maple neck and fingerboard, mother of pearl dot inlays. It also has the three bolt neck.

Master volume and tone, G&L saddle lock bridge.

Pickups are three single coil MFDs, those normally found in an S500, these are not ASAT Classic pickups, they have a little bit more power.

The switch is a five way allowing middle and neck, and middle and bridge combinations.

This one came from Jerrys Lefty Guitars in Florida.

Not to beat up on Fender, but have you seen a lefty three pickup Tele any time lately ?

How does it sound like ? Really different from a S-500 ?

A bit different, the hard tail saddle lock is top loading so the body is totally solid, the S500 has the vibrato and the body is routed. It has quite a bite and plenty of sustain.

The colour reminds me of some toilets cube (hate blue guitars, sorry) but besides that, that's a very fine guitar...

Ha ! Blue would not be my favourite colour, but us lefties can't be too choosy you know
