G&L USA Legacy in tobacco burst

Satin finish birds eye maple neck and fingerboard, ash body with brown shell guard.

Pickups have been replaced with DiMarzio Injectors neck and bridge with an Area 67 in the middle. G&L PTB is still original.

This is my latest Legacy, bought it from Buffalo Bros in California for $820. It's basically new but was sold as old stock as they had bought up the G&L stock from a few shops in the area that had closed. It's a 2006 guitar with a bi cut neck and serious birds eye, fairly chunky but different to the rest of my Legacys. I'm guessing the body is ash, it might be alder as the grain is not typical of ash.

The DiMarzios are noise free and have a really good clean sound with lots more power than stock single coils.

Photos are from the Buffalo Bros site as I don't have any of my own.

You mean the one piece neck cut in two halves to insert the truss rod, then glued back ? Like MusicMan ?

Each to his own I suppose, my first strat, the '70s one, has a black guard and pickups / controls. I never liked white guards on Fenders.

Yes, they're not making them that way now. I'm not sure when they changed, sometime in the mid '00s. This neck feels a little different to the newer necks in profile.
