Carvin H2T Holdsworth

Semi hollow alder body with maple top, set alder neck with a two octave ebony fingerboard. Pickups are Carvins own Holdsworth models the H22N and H22T with a coil split switch for each. Wilkinson trem and Sperzel locking tuners.

The neck is fat and chunky with a fairly flat radius 20" radius fingerboard and jumbo frets, and the action is very low. This one is totally stock, haven't changed anything on it and I can't see the need to.

It sounds and plays great. The neck feels like it's unfinished and it's very light, it weighs 6.6 lbs

Did you custom order it?

I wouldn't be broke, I'd be glad to get my hands on one of these.

Although I'm not a huge fan of the design, I find these one to be pretty!

I got this one used, and imported from the US. There was another one for sale on RG, it just sold, I'm surprised it lasted so long ....

Carvin are opening up direct orders to international buyers, so it will be a lot easier to buy Carvin guitars in Europe

I would have taken it if I could afford it :), it was cheaply priced.

Hi, how do you feel with the 20" radius, compare to a 7.25", for bending or chording ?
Does it feel like a large classical guitar ?
What do you think about the pickups in clean sound for example jazz funk stuff, or is it intended only for hi gain playing ?
Thx

It does feel very like a classical neck, it also has a satin neck finish .... no slipping. I much prefer a flatter radius these days, 12" or more, I don't find the 20" to be a problem for bending. I use it mainly on the neck pickup and for clean or low gain tones. The guitar is very comfortable to play. Before I got this one I already had a Carvin CT6 so I knew the build quality was very good.

This is a youtube demo of a Holdsworth HF2 Fatboy ( deeper body) but the H2T sounds very similar
