G&L USA Legacy HB

This one is a late '00s G&L Legacy HB in natural finish with brown shell pickguard, satin finish maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Frets are Dunlop medium jumbos. The neck is a medium chunky. Necks are hard to describe, it's larger and fuller than my '90s American Std Strats.

Pickups are G&L alnico V single coils in neck and middle with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge. Pickup selector is the usual five way and the mini switch splits the humbucker to single coil. Controls are G&Ls PTB, with a master volume and separate master treble and bass controls. The bridge is a G&L Dual Fulcrum.

The single coil pickups are warmer sounding and slightly higher in output than a stock '90 American Std Strat, I use that as a reference as nearly every lefty player has played or owned an Am Std Strat at some point. The JB in the bridge is excellent for rock, blues or metal and splits reasonably well.

Again I bought this one used about three years ago now.

btw the CLF in the serial number stands for Clarence Leo Fender.

I always wanted a natural finish strat. Played one in a shop in Dublin in the early '80s, big headstock one, amazing guitar.

It looked way cool but the price was way out there too. So when this one came along, many years later, I couldn't resist.

I liked it but as usual with all my G&L : I sold it... However I Think The "G&L Tremolo" is the Better Trem We Could Find.
