832 page views in 6 days, 33 watchers and counting. This instument has a current book value of in said condition of 2 thousand for a standard grade top, 2,500 for a highly flamed top, said condition. That is without any consideration to sound quality, because this is ebay, and of course any one who would buy anything without first hearing it would be concerned only for it's resale value if you if they really didn't like it. When i'm in Las Vegas spending the money, i'll be sure to think of you. Thank you for your comments.

Everyone that has heard this instrument in many guitar shops has smiled and then asked me all about the instrument. They of course do hear the rare sound quality. There was a young salesman at a well known guitar shop that after having spend his whole life saving his newspaper money, and having carefully studied, and after having listened to many vos les paul reissue guitars that have come through his workplace, and after ultimately having selected one and purchasing it, is now without thinking twice, is wanting to sell it and but a pre-historic because he says that they "have the best wood"! As far as your comments about "this wreck", ever hear of relic guitar's? Who knew?! People actually WANT, the guitar to look like mine! I forgot if it was duane allman, or who it was, who's most famous guitar, that has the tone that he is most associated with, guess what? it looks basically just like mine, including a broken neck that looks just like mine! Everybody knows what I am talking about, except maybe for you. What about Eddie Van Halen's number one Frankenstein guitar!!!? Perhaps the most imitated and recognizable guitar in rock history! Complete with hanging wires, nailed in pickups, (he could barely even figure out how to get just one of them to work),cigarette burns, schwinn bicycle paint, sanded off back of neck, and don't forget the little round quarter that he glued under the floyd rose tremolo system to keep the whole damn thing in tune!!! It cost maybe a few hundred bucks or so. Gee, if we start saving your money now, then maybe we might be able to afford a replica of that guitar that I saw selling for about 25,000!!!!!!!!!!! Let's
Be Poor! (laughs!) Thank you for whatever bidding you might make with my listing, and thank you for your interest.

Its very simple. The average rock musician has not talent, and no concept of tone whatsoever. The worst classically trained musician that plays for any of the big symphony orchestras is laughably better than the best pop or rock musician could ever dream of being. That is a fact. Gibson les paul model was about to be discontinued! It was because of Eric Clapton, and the Beano record with John Mayall and the bluesbreakers, that all the other guys like Jimmy Page and jeff Beck and every other asshole wanted a Les Paul. Guess what, The beano guitar was a 1960. The maple tops on a 1960 are a little bit thicker by about 10%. How many people know that? Almost no one. That is where the thicker, creamier sound is coming from! But you also have to have some clarity and bite to the higher frequencies. The best maple top, mated with the very thin neck, is what some of the 1960's had. So you see, that elusive "Holy Grail" sound that everyone still to this day has been chasing, and without knowing the secrets to how to attain it, of course never will attain it! O.K, now look at the guitar that I had listed on ebay. It never should have gotten past Gibsons quality control department. The top is very much out of spec. It is very, very thick and tall. The neck is almost like the neck on a violin as well! I actually had to create a hole new technique just to be able to play it! I actually had to study the way a violin player applies vibrato just to be able to play it! The combination of a super thick top, combined with a super thin neck, makes my guitar the ultimate tone machine bar none! Everbody that has seen, and heard me play it at a guitar shop just stands there like they are witnessing the best, because of course they are! It is the Beano sound, with just an extra dab of the cream, and with just a touch more of the bite. The dynamics that make the guitar capable of mimicking the human voice. How much is it that worth? Will that be cash, check, or charge?
